hi, i'm eilene. you might know who i am, or you might not. 2021 is a new year and i've begun to make some changes in my life that are long overdue, so i figured i may as well try another new thing while i'm at it. i want to use this site to talk about the things i enjoy and/or the new things i decide to get into from this point onward.

those of you who know who i am know i use twitter a lot, and as fun as that place can be there's times where i grow weary of the subconscious pressure to be funny or have some sort of "take" for people to latch onto. it's hard for me to be genuine on there, and doing something like remaking my account and removing the large folower base would only delay the same problem from repeating itself eventually.

so i decided to make a place where i can largely just talk to myself, without having to worry about any of these things. i just want to say what i think, whether someone reads it or not, i guess. not that i'm going to be incredibly serious on here or anything, i love to laugh and crack jokes, but there's times where doing it on platforms with large followings can feel a little forced.

i'm not sure i want to call what i think i'll use this site for "reviews" or anything, but i'd just like to talk about things i'm interested in in peace.

so i guess that's it. be cool.
